By bus

In Lodz, there are two bus stations handling the transport of international and domestic bus lines and smaller minibuses: Central Station, located in the city center, and North Station. Minibuses of private companies, which stop at the bus stops in the city center, run regularly between Lodz and Warsaw, as well as other Polish cities.
 
NOTE
From 16 October 2011, in connection with the reconstruction of the Lodz-Fabryczna PKP Railway Station and its surroundings within the project “New Center of Lodz”, there will be some changes in the service of buses (PKS) connections conducted so far by the Central PKS Station.
Fast and accelerated buses will be transferred to the bus terminus at Lodz Kaliska PKP Railway Station, local connections, long distance connections to Lublin and public transport (terminus of buses: 51/51A/51B/53/60/60A/60B/70/70A/86) will be transferred to the parking square at ul. Węglowa.
NOTE
From the date of 16 October 2011 due to the reconstruction of the station and its surroundings within the project “New Center of Lodz”, the rail service performed by the Lodz-Fabryczna PKP Railway Station will be taken over by the stations: Lodz-Kaliska, Lodz-Widzew, Lodz-Chojny and Lodz-Zabieniec.
